Arrival at Airport

Join a queue for customs: EU or Non-EU passport holders.

Collect luggage from Baggage Reclaim, overhead display boards will show the carousel that will have the luggage from your flight. You will find in most airports there are public toilets in this area.

You then need to clear customs. Click here to download the PDF for full details or visit the website of the Home Office.

  • Use the blue channel if you are travelling from a country within the European Union (EU) with no banned or restricted goods.
  • Use the green channel if you are travelling from a country outside the European Union (EU) with goods that do not go over your allowances.
  • Use the red channel or the red point phone if you have goods or cash to declare or have commercial goods.

Before you exit through the customs hall with your luggage, please ensure you have collected all your luggage, as you cannot re-enter this area.

If you are being met by taxi/chauffeur, the driver will be waiting for you as you exit the customs hall, holding a notice
with your name or your company name.(Most major UK airports have more than one terminal and the one you will be arriving at should be marked on your ticket or booking confirmation).

There are places to eat and some basic shops in the arrivals terminal, including newsagents and sometimes a small food store.

If making your own way to your Go Native Serviced Apartments accommodation there are several options all of which will be clearly marked in the arrivals terminal:

  • Taxi (ensure you use licenced taxis only, these can be identified by the "taxi" sign on their roof). Click on any of the following links for more information on taxi fares: quotemetaxi and worldtaximeter
