Quality Rating
Definition of Apartment Ratings: Go Native grades and evaluates all of its
serviced apartments on a scale of one to five with its unique Go Native Star Rating guide. The Star Rating guide is your guarantee of the level of standard and facilities at every Go Native property.
To qualify for a Go Native Star Rating award, a serviced apartment must reach stringent standards and provide certain minimum facilities, amenities, standard of quality and Heath and Safety levels. For each subsequent Go Native Star Rating award a serviced apartment must meet all the previous Go Native Star Rating requirements.
The following is a guide to the criteria we use to award Go Native Star Ratings but at each level we also carefully take into account the overall standard and quality of the apartment and facilities. Unlike other rating systems, Go Native takes into consideration the overall presentation and specification of the property, and also consider the properties access to transportation links. Go Native works closely with our Supplier Network to insure that expectations are always met or exceeded.
Facilities Ratings
One Star Ratings are awarded to true serviced apartments, to qualify they must be fully furnished, have a fully functioning and equipped kitchen or kitchenette, have a working use-only chargeable direct-dial telephone and have maid service with a full change of towels and linen at least once per week. A typical one star apartment will be decorated to a basic standard and may have slightly dated furnishings.
Two Star Ratings are awarded to serviced apartments that also have a laundry service or communal laundry, a dishwasher, cable television service (or equivalent), a DVD player, a hi-fi system, and modem point. Furnishings and fittings in a typical two star apartment will be clean but basic and often carpeted throughout. Most apartments are usually within walking distance to good quality dining.
Three Star Ratings are awarded to serviced apartments that also have a washer/dryer in the apartment, broadband or wireless broadband and convenient transportation links to the nearest city centre. Typically these apartments offer more spacious accommodations, are decorated to a good modern standard, wooden floorings and fitness centres and pools are often located close by.
Four Star Ratings are furnished to a very high standard, usually wooden floorings throughout, can have maid service provided multiple times during the week, parking either onsite or very nearby, air conditioning (in areas where it is typical), and have either access to communal outdoor space or a private terrace or balcony. Five Star Ratings are awarded to serviced apartments that also have a 24 hour concierge, daily maid service, room service, restaurant, gardens or a roof deck, an MP3 plug-in facility and access to a swimming pool and/or access to a health club. Five star apartments are decorated to a very high modern standard; fitness centres, parking and concierge are typically available.
Apartment Quality Standards Ratings
The following sliding scale indicates examples of quality, which may be in evidence, in order to achieve the various levels of quality (one to five). These indicators are representative of what might be seen at each quality level, but they are neither exhaustive nor prescriptive; that is to say they are included to offer suggestions on how quality can be improved and enhanced, but will not in themselves guarantee a higher quality grade.
One Star quality may be described as 'acceptable': Generally, everything must be safe and clean, and older items, or those lacking in intrinsic quality, must work and be fit for their purpose. There should be no outstanding need for immediate repair and maintenance. This level will be presented to the consumer as a fair and satisfactory standard. It may not be possible to welcome guests personally and a key may be left for new arrivals. Details will also be provided on how to operate all of the equipment in the unit.
Two Star quality may be described as 'quite good' to 'good': Generally described as 'quite good', these items may be of simple quality and the range may be limited. However, they should be in good working order and there will be a high standard of cleanliness. This level will be presented to the consumer as a good overall standard of quality. Keys can be obtained from the key holder but additional welcome information may be limited.
Three Star quality may be described as 'good' to 'very good': Generally described as ‘good’. Not necessarily expensive, but they must be of good, sound quality and show some care has been taken. There must be a good standard of maintenance and decoration. This level will be presented to the consumer as a 'very good' standard. Welcome beverages are usually provided, reasonable tourist information available and wooden flooring will be in good condition.
Four Star quality may be described as 'very good' to 'excellent': Generally described as ‘very good’. May be brand new, but not of the highest intrinsic quality or originally of high intrinsic quality, but not now necessarily in the best condition. This level will be presented to the consumer as an 'excellent' standard. Flooring will be of a high quality and rooms will be decorated with high quality furnishings.
Five Star quality may be described as 'excellent' to 'exceptional': Generally described as ‘excellent’. Providing high standards in the overall fabric of the building both internally and externally; together with excellent standards of management efficiency and guest services. This level will be presented to the consumer as 'exceptional' or 'World Class' standard. All apartments will have high quality flooring with substantial underlay, attractive use of pictures and other furnishings. Star Rating Quality Indicators.
